Your Florida EBT card can be used anywhere with the Quest logo, including most major grocery chains, some retailers and participating farmers markets. Depending on your location, groceries can even be purchased with your EBT card and delivered to your home.

Your benefits can be used to buy most groceries, including:

  • Fruits and vegetables

  • Meat, poultry and fish

  • Dairy products

  • Breads and cereals

  • Snacks and soft drinks

  • Seeds and plants that produce food for the household

Items you can’t buy with SNAP benefits include alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, vitamins, drugs, dietary supplements, live animals, pet food, cleaning supplies, paper products, cosmetics, and ready-to-eat hot foods.

There is also the SUNCAP program, which is a food assistance program for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients. If you already receive SNAP benefits, you may be automatically enrolled in SUNCAP once you become eligible for SSI.

How to Score EBT Rebates

Florida also offers a wide range of benefits and services to SNAP customers, including the following:

  • Amazon Prime: Florida SNAP recipients can sign up for the Amazon Prime EBT discount for $6.99 per month, about half the regular cost of a subscription.

  • Computers/internet/mobile phones: Through the Affordable Connection Program, SNAP recipients could receive up to $30 a month off Internet service (up to $75 a month if the household is on qualified Tribal lands) or a one-time discount of up to $100 on a laptop, tablet or desktop computer and a low-cost service plan, at which is covered by the ACP. Eligible SNAP participants can also get a free cell phone through the Federal Communications Commission’s Lifeline program.

  • Farmers markets: Fresh Access Bucks (FAB), an initiative of Feeding Florida, is a statewide nutrition incentive program that encourages SNAP recipients in Florida to use their benefits at farmers markets, stands, CSAs, mobile markets and community grocery stores. If you use your EBT card to buy $1 worth of fresh food, you’ll receive $1 in Fresh Access Bucks. Here is a map with locations of stores that accept and double SNAP and P-EBT benefits.

  • Museums/zoos/aquariums: The Museums for All initiative provides EBT cardholders in Florida with free or discounted admission to more than 600 museums, aquariums and zoos across the country.

Florida SNAP benefits are sent between the 1st and 28th of each month based on the 9th and 8th digits of your Florida case number (read backwards) after dropping the 10th digit.
