SFO, still below pre-pandemic passenger numbers, tops the list of the best major US airports

San Francisco International Airport is still climbing to reach pre-pandemic passenger levels, but airport officials say they expect a busy holiday travel season this year, with about 5 million people expected to pass through the airport between Thanksgiving and New Year’s — about 85% holiday travel season 2019.

Airport officials were encouraged by a new Wall Street Journal analysis that named SFO the nation’s best airport of the year.
