Lake County News, Calif. – Caltrans plans major road work through December 1st – Update Cali

NORTH COAST, California. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will take place on the North coast.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact lake County commuters, as well as work in Del Norte and Humboldt counties.

Caltrans Advises Motorists to Drive with Caution When Working Areas and To Be Control Tantrol. ‌ ‌

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless
noted otherwise. ‌

Caltrans will suspend most highway work in Northern California from Friday, November 25 through Sunday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday. However, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, Caltrans crews may be required to respond to emergency situations.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

— Engineering work in Clearlake Oaks from Butler Street to Sulfur Bank Road will begin Tuesday, Nov. 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should expect delays of up to five minutes.

Highway 29

— On Wednesday, Nov. 30, engineering work will take place in Middletown north of Butts Canyon Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to five minutes.

— Road work continues in Kelseyville at the Kelsey Creek Bridge from Bell Hill Road to Stahli Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

Highway 175

— Tree work continues near Diener Road. One-way traffic will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

— Bridge work in Cobb on Estates Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

— Tree work will take place near Iverson Road on Tuesday, Nov. 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to five minutes.

— Tree work will take place north of Andiron Road to south of Little River Airport Road on Thursday, Dec. 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to five minutes.

— Tree work from Westport Vista Point to Hardy Creek will take place on Monday, November 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to five minutes.

Highway 20

— Tree work east of Wildwood Campground and RV Resort is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to five minutes.

— Road work near Route 10 continues. One-way traffic control will apply on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes.

Highway 101

— Slip removal on the Pieta Creek Bridge continues. Northbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should expect delays of up to five minutes.

— Bridge work continues on the Crawford Creek Bridge. One-way traffic control will apply on weekdays from 19:00 to 07:00. Motorists should expect delays of up to five minutes.

— Bridge work near Henry Station Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

— Road work continues in Ukiah on Route 222. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should expect minor delays in the area.

— Fence work continues in Ukiah at the East Perkins Street Overcrossing. Lane closures will be in effect weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Motorists should expect minor delays in the area.

— Bridge work continues in Ukiah from the Presswood Overhead Bridge to the Hensley Creek Undercrossing. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect minor delays in the area.

— Road work continues south of Willits. A lane closure will be in place on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Motorists should expect minor slowdowns in the area.

— The Irvine Lodge safety rest area will be closed until January 2023.

— Tree work north of Leggett from the Dora Creek Bridge to the Route 1 intersection continues. One-way traffic will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

Highway 162

— Bridge work continues on the Outlet Creek Bridge. One-way traffic will be in effect and motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

— Road work continues south of Dos Rios near the Rodeo Creek Bridge. One-way traffic control will be in place on weekdays from 3pm to 7am. Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

DEL NORTE REGION

Highway 101

— Construction in the last chance stage area. One-way traffic will be in effect on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of 25 minutes.

— Road excavation from Parkway Drive to Wilson and Burtchell will continue. Lane closures will be in effect weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should expect minor traffic delays. In addition, the full closure of the southbound ramp at Washington Blvd. The crossing will be in effect on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m

— Engineering works at the bridge Dr. Fines will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of 10 minutes.

Highway 199

— Tree work along Parkway Drive will begin Tuesday, Nov. 29. A full road closure will be in place weekdays from 7am to 7pm Motorists should use an alternative route.

— Electrical work near the Collier Tunnel landing will continue. One-way traffic will be in effect and motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY

Highway 96

— Utility work from Hostler Field Road north of Hoopa will begin Monday, Nov. 28. One-way traffic control will be in place from 7am to 7pm weekdays. Motorists should expect delays of up to five minutes.

Highway 101

— Bridge work south of Phillipsville will continue. Lane closures will be in place on weekdays. Motorists should expect minor traffic delays.

— Bridge work near Myers Flat will continue. Lane closures will be in effect weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A full southbound lane closure will be in effect. Motorists should expect minor traffic delays.

— Excavation and concrete works from St. Louis Road Overcrossing to Georgia Pacific Road will continue. One-way traffic control and lane closures will be in place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of 10 minutes. Lane closures from St. Louis Road Overcrossing to the Mad River Bridge will be in effect from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Motorists should expect delays of 10 minutes.

Highway 255

— Engineering work in Arcata from “V” Street to “J” Street will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

Highway 299

— The fake installation from Route 200 to Route 101 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:00 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Motorists should expect minor traffic delays.

— Construction will continue from Willow Creek to Old Three Creek Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of 10 minutes.
